To make an online donation, click here and simply select RE/MAX RETRAX as your team name from the drop down menu.

You can now register for the 2007 RE/MAX RE-TRAX 24 Hour Relay Team. The event will take place June 16th and 17th at Swangard Stadium and RE/MAX, will again have one of the best locations at the event, right in the middle of the fun. If you would like to sign up to become a runner (or walker), or volunteer, simply email your name, office name, email address and T-shirt size to wesleybehan@gmail.com. The more money we can raise for this great cause, the better. You can now collect pledges online towards the RE/MAX team total, and you will also have the traditional pledge form once you are registered.

Stay tuned for details. I attended the Team Captain’s meeting yesterday, now it’s time to start fundraising!
Email me : wesley@wesleybehan.com if you want to be part of this year’s team, or donate!

First, I want to thank a few people for their involvement in this year’s event.
At the top of the list is Cathy Chin and Alyssa, who came in at the last minute to help with food. Cathy made a huge spread for us runners, that included some great chicken, and easily the best roast beef that anyone at the event had ever tasted! Thanks Cathy, we would have been lost without you.
(Italo also came through with his delicious sausages and was a big help all day long keeping things organized at RE/MAX headquarters (our tents, generator rental, t-shirts etc.)
A special thanks to Craig Muskeyn and John Lichtenwald for donating the delicious cold beer.
Notable thanks to Erica Robertson for helping with the running schedule.
Also, many thanks go to each one of the runners, fundraisers and volunteers who came out to support our team over the 24hr period. (especially Wendy McMichael who stayed longer than any other runner….she was a trooper). We were a small crew, considering the size of the company, but all of our runners and guests had a lot of spirit. Thank you all again. Next year, we’re going to have to encourage the rest of the offices in the Lower Mainland to help make us a huge team, in runners and pledges. (I think our total amount raised was just shy of $4,000)
The total amount raised for the entire event was over 1.2 million dollars which should help over 1000 kids go to camp this summer.
Last, and certainly not least, I need to thank my brother Jordan for all of his work and dedication to the event. He was involved with a lot of the process, including this fabulous blog you’re reading now.
Now!! Let’s get to the good part; the pictures!! Big thanks to Colleen for being the unofficial team photographer, and taking these great shots of our team in action. Enjoy!!

That’s all the pictures we have so far, feel free to send more if you have them.

Well, we have two days left, and we NEED more pledges.
Keep in mind that this is for the kids, and that we want to show the community that we care. So far, we’re coming up way short of what the Lion’s Club wants each team to raise, and I know we can do better.
Pledge sheets were delivered to each office, but we’re running low on time, so here’s a quicker way to get some last-minute pledge money and help us save face. Send your pledgers to this link:

Wow that’s long. Anyway, send them there (maybe copy and paste it into an email?) and select our team “Re/Trax” from the list, and add your name as a runner. We can still raise a bunch of money for the kids if we just do one more final push. I’m working the phone tonight hitting up my family members.
Runners, I realize that you’re already committed to running, and some of you have already done some fundraising, and I’m very grateful for that. Perhaps hitting up those Realtors in our offices who didn’t volunteer to run would be a good place to start to bring our numbers up.
Sorry if I seem like I’m panicking, but I guess I am. This is my first year doing this, and I want it to be a big success. With the amount we’ve raised so far, I can’t call it that yet.
C’mon Re/Max, it’s for the KIDS!
P.S. We’re signed up for a Bocce tournament on Saturday afternoon. Who’s in?
Signed,

Someone to give me a hand with food! I don’t think we can trust a bachelor to handle this one on his own. We have a budget, but we need to be creative. If you’re up for giving me a hand, send me an email:

Cheers, and keep reading below.
Update: We’re good! Thanks Cathy Chin!

Okay team, preparations are going great for the big event June 17. Just a few details to take care of beforehand, and I’ll keep you up-to-date as to what they are here.
First of all, if you bookmark this address www.remaxrelayteam.blogspot.com you can get updates right up until the day, and tons of photos and recaps after.
Now some fine print: Anyone trying to enter the stadium after 6pm will not be allowed to enter, unless they have a wristband. So enter my number: 604-786-1127 into your phone, call me when you arrive and I will bring you a wristband at the main gate.
Lastly, get ready to have a lot of fun, and takes lots of pictures. We have plenty of runners now, but don’t be afraid to invite your friends to come out and support our team- Just call me with their names, and I can put them on our list of runners. Also, we have a keg of beer confirmed, compliments of John Lichtenwald and Craig Muskeyn. The only thing left to do is keep raising LOTS of money for the Lion’s Club; we want our team to show their full support.
The best photos from the event will be posted here for everyone to see, and ALL realtors have digital cameras, so get snap-happy and we’ll show how much team spirit we have, and how much support we have for the kids.

This is the best way that I could think of to keep everyone on the Remax 24 Hr Relay Team up to date.
Bookmark this site. Now, before you forget! It has a long address that even I can’t remember, and I built it.
Up until the event on June 17-18, this site will contain news and information about our fundraising, and how close we are to getting to our goal. Oh, and you can leave your comments by clicking the little link under each post that says “Comments” on the bottom right.
So far: I haven’t had a chance to tally up where we’re at. But I do know we’ve got to get more runners (Sign up your friends! Challenge your colleagues!) and more fundraising dollars. This is Remax! We should be the champs in every category, so let’s make an effort to kick ass! (Can I say ass on the internet?)
After the event, this site will stay live, and it will have photos, stories, etc. I could really use some now, actually…if anyone has pictures from previous years, please email them to info@wesleyrealty.ca and I’ll put them up here to get everyone psyched.
Keep checking in, and keep raising money for the Lions Club.
IT’S FOR THE KIDS!!
